CALL FOR RESEARCH RESIDENCIES APPLICANTS  for tworesidency programs (with and without grant).

Through two programs of residencies (with or without grant) proposed by its Research pole, the Institut International de la Marionnette (International Institute of Puppetry) wants to encourage the scientific research about puppetry, to accompany the process of creation of the artists, and to strengthen the links between Research and Creation communities.

The Research residencies of the Institut International de la Marionnette (IIM) are open to scholars, creators and postgraduate students, whatever their nationality.

Residents have access to the Library, they can take advantage of a personalized accompaniment, and of possible stakes in touch with the partners of the IIM. They are accommodated in the Villa d’Aubilly for free.

The residents must sign a research contract. They make a commitment to deposit in the Library a copy of their final work.

Residencies without grant

These residencies can have a duration from 2 days to 2 months, with the exception of the periods of closure of the IIM.
Application may be submitted at any time (minimum one week before).
They are given after examination of the demand, according to available place.

Residencies with a research grant

These residences with grant have a duration from 2 weeks to 2 months, with the exception of the periods of closure of the IIM. They are granted first and foremost to the PhD students, post-doctorate, and authors in phase of writing.
These grants can cover food expenses and a part of the traveling costs.

Deadline of application: December 15th, 2012 (for 2013).
The decisions are made 1 month more or less after the deadline.

Criteria of selection:

–       Quality of the application file,
–       Presence, in the Library, of resources in connection with the research project.

Application file

Whatever the program, the application file shall include:

–       A curriculum vitae

–       A letter of application (indicate the wanted duration and period)

–       A presentation of the research project (subject, method, already begun steps; 4 pages maximum), including, for applications for a residence with grant, a first location of  the resources of the library useful for the project.

APPEL A CANDIDATURES / RESIDENCES DE RECHERCHE

À travers deux programmes de résidences (avec ou sans bourse) proposés par son pôle Recherche et documentation, l’Institut international de la marionnette souhaite encourager la recherche fondamentale sur les arts de la marionnette, accompagner le processus de création des artistes, et renforcer les liens entre les communautés de la recherche et celles de la création.

Les résidences de recherche de l’Institut international de la marionnette sont ainsi ouvertes aux chercheurs, aux créateurs et aux étudiants de niveau Licence, Master ou Doctorat, quelle que soit leur nationalité.

Les résidents accueillis bénéficient des ressources disponibles au centre de documentation, d’un accueil personnalisé, et d’éventuelles mises en contact avec les partenaires de l’IIM. Ils sont hébergés gracieusement à la Villa d’Aubilly.

Dès leur arrivée, les résidents signent une convention. Ils s’engagent à déposer au centre de documentation un exemplaire de leur travail de recherche.

Résidences sans bourse

Ces résidences peuvent s’étendre sur une durée de 2 jours à 2 mois.
Les demandes peuvent être effectuées tout au long de l’année, à l’exception des périodes de fermeture de l’IIM.
Elles sont octroyées après examen du dossier de demande, dans la limite des places disponibles.

Résidences avec attribution d’une bourse de recherche

Ces résidences avec bourse peuvent s’étendre sur une durée de 2 semaines à 2 mois, à l’exception des périodes de fermeture de l’IIM. Elles s’adressent en priorité aux doctorants et aux auteurs en phase de rédaction d’un ouvrage.

Ces bourses couvrent les frais de résidence et tout ou partie des frais de déplacement.

Date limite de candidature : 15 décembre 2012 pour l’année 2013.

Les décisions sont prises environ 1 mois après la date limite de dépôt des candidatures.

Critères de sélection:

–          Qualité du dossier de candidature
–          Présence, au centre de documentation, de ressources en lien avec le projet de recherche.

Dossier de candidature

Quel que soit le programme demandé, le dossier de candidature comprend :

–          un curriculum vitae,

–          une lettre de motivation (indiquer la durée et la période de séjour souhaitées),

–          une présentation du projet de recherche (sujet, méthode, démarches déjà entreprises ; 4 pages maximum), incluant, pour les demandes de bourses, un premier repérage des ressources du centre de documentation utiles au projet.
