The Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop would be delighted to invite you and your puppet company to the RPTW’s 10th International Puppet Festival of Contemporary & Traditional Puppetry to be held at the Museum of Puppetry in Lahore. The festival is scheduled from March 21 to 24, 2013 and will kick off with celebrating the World Puppet Day.
The festival will pay for local hospitability costs in Lahore including lodging and meals.
The festival celebrates the true spirit of artistic expression and exchange and is aimed at promoting the dying breed of folk puppeteers in Pakistan. Held annually since 2004 at the museum inside our cultural centre spread across 3 acres of land, the festival attracts a crowd of 15,000 people. The festival not only raises awareness about the versatility of folk puppet tradition, but also educates the public, specifically the younger generation, about classical art forms.
